Heidi Rattner, Executive Director firstname.lastname@example.org
Heidi was employed as a civil rights lawyer and Jewish educator in Milwaukee before beginning her position as Executive Director in August, 2004. She was active in Hillel during her years at Barnard College, and remembers discovering her taste for Chinese food there. (Having grown up in a kosher Sephardi/Ashkenazi home, Heidi already developed her life-long taste for stuffed grape leaves and stuffed cabbage.)
Heidi enjoys spending time with students, professors, alumni, and Hillel supporters (including Hillel's dedicated board of volunteers). She appreciates the important role that each person plays in helping Hillel be a dynamic and joyful place where young adults have pluralistic opportunities to explore Jewish activities and form lasting friendships.
Sarah Ruble, iNTERIM Director of Jewish Student Life email@example.com
Sarah was born into a small, Jewish Community in Salt Lake City, Utah. She belongs to Congregation Shalom, where she attended Hebrew and Religious school and graduated from Shorewood High School in 2008. During her first two years of college, she studied under Rabbi Shapiro as a Rabbinical Intern to explore her dream of becoming a Rabbi. Sarah is graduating UW-Milwaukee this May with a degree in Jewish Studies and a Certificate in Middle Eastern and North African Studies. Along with her role at Hillel Milwaukee, she also works as the School Assistant at Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid. In her free time, Sarah loves to camp and hike as well as play video games and Table-top RPGs.
Sarah looks forward to getting to know students and helping to support them in college and their Jewish journeys. In the fast paced world of today, she wants to learn what this up and coming generation seeks from their Judaism and how to help them find their path through life during this time of great transition.
