Sarah Berry (she/her) - Development Chair
UWM Class of 2020 Sarah is a sophomore at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee majoring in nursing with the hope of becoming an ER nurse. This is her first year serving on Hillel Milwaukee's Student Board, as the development chair, as well as the student liaison for Hillel Milwaukee's adult board. Additionally, Sarah is the Vice president for Students Supporting Israel, and in her free time she likes to go shopping, hang out with friends, and watch Netflix.

Leah Biller (she/her) - Israel Chair
UWM Class of 2019 Leah is a junior at UWM in the School of Nursing. She works as a nursing assistant at a hospital in the downtown area. As Israel Chair, it is obvious that Israel is a huge passion of Leah's. In her free time she likes to catch a few hours of sleep, read a good book, listen to music, or play with her rabbit, Moo Moo.

Hannah Polan (she/her) - Engagement Chair
Hannah Polan, UWM Class of 2020 Hannah is a sophomore at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee majoring in nursing. This is her first year serving on Hillel’s student board as an engagement chair. As an engagement chair Hannah recruits students, helps students make friends, and plans social events. Additionally, Hannah works at the UWM Children’s Center in a kindergarten classroom. In her free time Hannah likes to watch movies, bike, and bake

Dayna Samuels (they/them) - Jewish Life & Learning Chair
UWM Class of 2018 Dayna is a UWM senior at the Stahl Center for Jewish Studies, and a rabbinic hopeful through the Reform/Progressive Movement. They are deeply invested in creating intersectional, inclusive, and welcoming spaces and experiences for people of all backgrounds and life paths. This is their third consecutive year serving on Hillel MKE’s Student Board, and seventh year working in Jewish life and peer-programming. Dayna is very invested in interfaith work as a pillar of modern Jewish life, and is also serving as the Interfaith Peer Minister at The Corner House – Lutheran Campus Ministry at UWM this year. Their interests include listening to their hometown SoCal NPR, journaling, collecting funky kippot, and smashing the oppressive structures of our society. On any given day, you can find Dayna running around their intensely busy life, but you can count on them taking time for Shabbat Menucha with their Hillel MKE family.

Charlee Vrtjak (she/her) - Communications Chair
UWM Class of 2020 Charlee is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. There she is majoring Global Studies with a focus in security and a minor in Spanish. Growing up she was super involved in her temples youth group and NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth). In her free time she enjoy hanging out with her friends, exploring, listening to music, and eating food that is vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free. Her best friend is her 17 year goldfish Bob. She is so stoked to be serving on Hillel’s student board this year.
