Israel
Education & Engagement

Hillel seeks to provide every student with the opportunity to explore and build an enduring relationship with Israel. Hillel hopes that students will be able to articulate why Israel plays an important role in their personal identities and how Israel continues to influence Jewish conversations, global Jewish peoplehood, and the world.

We welcome diverse student perspectives on Israel, and we strive to create an inclusive, pluralistic community where students can discuss matters of interest and/or concern about Israel. We encourage students' curiosity as they explore their relationship with Israel. We object to labeling, excluding or harassing any students for their beliefs and expressions. As an indispensable partner to all Milwaukee’s universities, Hillel seeks to facilitate civil discourse about Israel in a safe and supportive college environment that is fertile for dialogue and learning.

We believe that the best way of bringing Israel to campus is to strengthen the conversation and by creating interesting educational programs that will introduce the students to the different aspects of Israel’s culture, politics, diversity and so much more.

If you are interested in creating exciting programs revolving all things Israel, this is the place for you! Contact our Israel Campus Fellow Pnina at [email protected].

Examples of previous Israel programming and events are:
  • Israel lunch & talks: Israeli Music, Feminism in Israel, LGBTQ+ in Israel, etc.
  • Israel related speakers: Politics, Israeli-Arab conflict, etc.
  • Israel’s Anatomy- Israel 101 Class:  A 8 week student-led program in which you'll learn all things Israel!
  • Stay Safe On Campus - a Krav Maga session.
  • Good Deeds Week: Volunteering around the community to give back and spread good deeds on campus.
  • Israel Fest Week: Israel celebrations in Milwaukee's campuses, Shabbat Israelit (Israeli Shabbat), Community Walk for Israel, etc.
  • And So Much More!!
